Today’s meeting between Michigan and Florida marks only the third time these two teams have gotten together, and the Wolverines have yet to lose.
The first meeting was in 2002 for the Outback Bowl, which Michigan won, 38-30. The second was in 2007 for the Capitol One Bowl, where Michigan beat the defending national champs, 41-35. Both of the previous meetings were played in Florida, so it would seem that home field advantage really is not a factor in these games.
The 2015 year was an interesting ride for Florida. The Gators finished No. 6 overall defensively, allowing only 16.
