Michigan Football: Everything you need to know about Indiana

The last time Indiana toppled Michigan football, Ronald Regan was president, Tim Brown from Notre Dame won the Heisman, and Bo Schembechler coached the Wolverines. Let’s take a look at what went wrong.

On a rainy Saturday afternoon, the 14th ranked Hoosiers were set to face the 20th ranked Wolverines two weeks after dominating the undefeated Buckeyes 31-10 – who went on to finish the season out 6-4-1. After a slow start from both teams, Michigan took the halftime lead, 10-7, but it wouldn’t last as a 65-yard touchdown drive by Indiana sealed UM’s fate.

Not having defeated Michigan since 1968, the Indiana fans stormed the field, taking down the goalposts just as their team took down the Wolverines.
