Less than a week after entering the transfer portal, Michigan football defensive end Aaron Lewis has found a new team.
And it happens to be in the Wolverines' division.
Lewis, a freshman who signed with U-M's 2020 class, is transferring to Rutgers football.
The move was first announced via Lewis' Twitter and officially confirmed by the Scarlet Knights.
"After deep discussions with my family, I’ve decided it’s best for me to continue my academic and athletic career at Rutgers University where I will be closer to home," Lewis wrote Monday.
The former three-star prospect attended Williamstown High School in Williamstown, New Jersey, roughly 90 minutes from Rutgers.
