Derrick Green will be leaving the University of Michigan to seek playing time elsewhere, according to a report from NBC Sports’ CollegeFootballTalk released Friday afternoon.

This news should not come as a shock to Wolverines fans. There was speculation that Green would transfer before the season even ended. He did not make the trip for the team’s bowl game even considering that Michigan would have to rely on the running game against the Gators.
