The countdown to kickoff for Michigan’s 2015 season is now at 45 days, so we are beginning a countdown of Michigan’s best game from each of their last 45 seasons. The countdown starts with the 1970 Michigan season, which was Bo Schembechler’s second as the Wolverines head coach.
The Wolverines had a tremendous season in 1970. They finished with a 9-1 record, and the only loss came in the final week of the season at Ohio State. Michigan had three All-Americans in Dan Dierdorf, Marty Huff, and Henry Hill. They had an additional eight All-Conference players, including all-time greats like Reggie McKenzie and Thom Darden.
