Michigan Football: Chase Winovich is a perfect New England Patriot

When it comes to pass rushers in the 2019 NFL draft few were more productive than Chase Winovich of Michigan football. In three years as a starter and part-time player, Winovich basically lived in the opponent’s backfield.

The 6-foot-3, 256-pound outside linebacker, was once a tight end at Michigan football and seemed light years away from playing. Then, he earned his way on special teams, kind of like Clay Matthews back in the day at USC.

Winovich became a defensive end and there, he found a home. It’s not so much that he is an ideal defensive end — he’s not.
