DANIA BEACH, Fla. — To varying degrees, all 13 teams on Michigan football's schedule this season have tried and failed to block edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, who set a school record with 14 sacks, finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting and secured numerous postseason awards.
Devising a plan for Hutchinson was among the primary tasks of Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken from the minute the College Football Playoff matchups were announced. Monken’s offense, which ranks seventh in the country in scoring but 25th in yards per game, played second fiddle to what many considered the best defense in college football this season.
