During the fourth quarter of Michigan football's game against Indiana on Saturday at Michigan Stadium, running back Berkley Edwards suffered what seemed to be a serious injury.
While blocking for a kickoff in the fourth quarter, Edwards was hit, helmet to helmet, by Indiana freshman linebacker Cam Jones.
Jones was called for a targeting penalty, which was confirmed via replay, meaning Jones was ejected from the game.
But, Edwards, who walked on the team as a graduate transfer from Central Michigan, laid motionless on the field as football staff and players, including coach Jim Harbaugh, gathered around him.
