DETROIT -- The short-lived break is over.
Michigan football gets back in the weight room beginning today, May 29, for the start of summer conditioning.
The sessions will be led by new strength coach Ben Herbert and his staff, who first made their mark in the winter.
"We're ready to get back," linebacker Josh Uche said Sunday during ex-Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis' football camp. "Workouts are going great. Spring ball was excellent.
"We wanted to start back up, honestly."
NCAA rules on voluntary summer workouts allow student-athletes to take part in organized activities with Herbert and his four assistants for eight hours per week, for a maximum of eight weeks.
