Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh explains how his team turned the game around for 20-17 comeback win over Northwestern on Sept. 29 in Evanston, Ill.
EVANSTON, Ill. — The start was a replica of what took place five Saturdays ago in South Bend, Ind.
Penalties everywhere. Missed tackles everywhere. Michigan seemingly at a standstill on the road while the home team threatens to kick those winged helmets all the way back to Ann Arbor without breaking a sweat.
That almost happened, by the way, as Michigan defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour's helmet fell off and hit the ground seconds before Northwestern blasted out to a 17-point lead Saturday, and Wildcats offensive lineman Gunnar Vogel took a playful kick at it.
