Mike Zordich doesn’t sugarcoat things.
The Michigan football assistant coach has always been very direct. Zordich has openly criticized players in the past, and he’s also given them praise. His assessment of U-M’s cornerbacks from Saturday's 24-17 loss at Notre Dame was a mix of both.
“I would say for the first quarter, pretty bad,” Zordich said. “After that, they settled in and played well.”
Michigan’s secondary, consistently among the best in the nation over the course of Zordich’s three-year tenure at Michigan, ranked No. 1 in pass defense last year. Yet the Fighting Irish completed several big passes early.
