A common refrain for Michigan football fans after the most recent loss to Ohio State has been to add bigger bodies on the defensive line, especially at defensive tackle.
The reaction seems perfectly reasonable. Against Ohio State, Justin Fields and the passing game hit some big plays, but over and over again, it was J.K. Dobbins and the ground game that buried Michigan football.
The same thing happened against Wisconsin earlier in the year, when Jonathan Taylor ran all over the Wolverines, getting over 100 yards in the first quarter.
One reason for that is a lack of size inside or at least, the lack of a true run-stuffing presence.
