IOWA CITY, Iowa — Michigan football is playing Iowa without starting tight end Erick All, who did not travel with the team to Kinnick Stadium for Saturday's matchup.
All played in U-M's first three games but missed the Big Ten opener against Maryland. The Free Press first reported All's absence was linked to renewed discussions about undergoing back surgery to address an injury dating to last season.
Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is expected to lean on tight end Luke Schoonmaker for the second consecutive week. Schoonmaker established new career highs in receptions and yardage against the Terrapins.
