Michigan football and Michigan State football may not have been very good this year, but they made one preseason list of national titles "contenders."
The Wolverines and Spartans were among the 88 teams with odds to win the College Football Playoff next season, according to sportsbetting.com. Alabama, which won the national championship Monday vs. Ohio State, enters as 3/1 favorites with Clemson (4/1), Georgia (5/1) and Oklahoma (6/1) in tow. The runner-up Buckeyes are next at 8/1.
Unsurprisingly it appears there are believers in a re-upped Jim Harbaugh and, potentially, a new five-star starting quarterback.
