Jim Harbaugh has added another coach to his Michigan football staff, although this new hire, Garrett Cox, won’t be an on-field coach.

Instead, Cox will be a defensive quality control assistant and even though there wasn’t an announcement about his hire, his Twitter profile reflects his new title.

Cox spent the last two years on the staff of Jeremy Pruitt in Tennessee before he was fired after a tough season and also some possible NCAA violations.

Prior to working at Tennessee, Cox served on the staff of Nick Saban as a quality control assistant for four years.
