The Michigan football team wasn’t going to silence its critics with a win over Rutgers. But for the first time in 2019, the Wolverines played like we expected them to.
Michigan football racked up 476 yards of total offense against the Scarlet Knights and in turn, held them to 152. Kwity Paye was all over the quarterback and the Wolverines dominated the line of scrimmage.
There are still some kinks to work out obviously and beating a Big Ten doormat is nothing to get excited about. Yet, it wasn’t just that Michigan beat Rutgers, it was how the Wolverines did it that was impressive.
