Michigan football missed out on one key commitment this week, losing four-star tight end Theo Johnson to Penn State.
But in another recruiting battle, Michigan football came out on top and with a commitment Wednesday from four-star defensive end Jaylen Harrell, the Wolverines have added a pass rusher that could have a chance to contribute early in his U-M career.
Harrell, who visited Ann Arbor recently, resides from Tampa, Florida and was projected by 247 sports to go to the Florida Gators. Instead, the 12th-ranked weak-side defensive end in the 2020 class is going to be a Wolverine and with the loss of Josh Uche and Mike Danna to the NFL, it’s an ideal fit.
