Even though the regular season is months away, the Michigan football team will begin its first on-field preparation for the 2019 season in less than two weeks.
Spring football practices are scheduled to start March 17 for the Wolverines, even though other teams across the Big Ten have already gotten started, such as Nebraska, which opened spring practice Monday.
For Michigan football, the wait will be a little longer and starting the 17th will begin about a month of practices before the Wolverines will play their spring game Aprill 13. Last season, the spring game was canceled due to weather issues.
