In early 1985, Back to the Future was several weeks into filming but something was amiss. The energy surrounding the production was off and the product being filmed was not the product intended on the page. The singular biggest issue was dealing with lead actor Eric Stoltz, who was cast as Marty McFly.

Now, if you are under the age of 30, you probably know Stoltz best for playing Lance in Pulp Fiction, however, in the early ‘80s, Stoltz was tabbed as one of the next guys in Hollywood – a method actor who valued character commitment above all else.
