Evanston, Ill. — Michigan overcame a slow start — a familiar pattern for the Wolverines on the road so far this season — to get an important win at Northwestern on Saturday.
Josh Uche sacked Clayton Thorson on the final play as the Wildcats tried to make a fast, final comeback to preserve a 20-17 victory for the 14th-ranked Wolverines (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten).
“They told me to pass rush and I went and got him,” Uche told U-M radio of the sack.
The Wolverines took their first lead, 20-17, with just more than 4 minutes left when Karan Higdon scored his second touchdown of the game, this time from 5 yards.
