ANN ARBOR -- Not having Chris Evans dressed and a game plan that called for plenty of carries meant someone else needed to step up.
For Michigan on Saturday, that added production came from a fullback.
Sophomore Ben Mason rushed six times for 18 yards and three touchdowns in the 19th-ranked Wolverines' 56-10 win over Nebraska. Not only were his three end-zone appearances the most for anyone in the game, but it doubled Mason's career total.
"About mid-week, coach told me they needed me to run the ball a little bit," the the 6-foot-3, 254-pound Mason said.
