Ann Arbor — Music was blaring at Alumni Field Wednesday night with hundreds of Michigan fans all dressed in pink, going from station to station to participate in drills while interacting with players and coaches of the Wolverines’ softball team.
All the spirited action was a part of the eighth edition of The Michigan Softball Academy, raising more than $100,000 in its fight against breast cancer.
And, Michigan coach Carol Hutchins — with a 2005 national championship under her belt, along with another run to the national title game in 2015 — grabbed the participants’ attention by welcoming them and giving a brief history of the event.
