ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan football team hopes to have its top two rushers back for the start of Big Ten play.
Chris Evans and Karan Higdon have both practiced this week and there is the expectation that they'll be available on Saturday against Nebraska (Noon, FS1),
"That's what we expect, yes," Michigan running backs coach Jay Harbaugh told reporters on Wednesday.
Higdon, who has 34 carries for 228 yards and two touchdowns, practiced at full capacity this week after sitting out Michigan's 45-20 win over Southern Methodist last week with an unspecified injury.
Evans, who rushed 18 times for a team-high 85 yards against SMU, emerged from the game with what the coaching staff has categorized as a minor injury.
