ANN ARBOR -- It's a new season and, for one game at least, a new offense.
Michigan beat Division II Northwood in an exhibition Friday night at Crisler Center 90-58 by relentlessly attacking the rim. The Wolverines shot 62 percent from the floor, with the bulk of their attempts at the basket.
In Michigan's lone exhibition before the season opener on Tuesday, returning starters Zavier Simpson and Charles Matthews were joined in the starting lineup by sophomore Jordan Poole, making his first career start, freshman Ignas Brazdeikis, and Jon Teske. All 14 Wolverines eventually saw the floor.
