Saturday was a tough one for the Michigan Wolverines. In the second game of the Sherrone Moore era, the Texas Longhorns came to the Big House and silenced the crowd in a hurry. This Michigan team has taken a clear step back compared to the powerhouse it was a season ago.
ESPN’s FPI rankings replicate that drop-off. The Wolverines started the year at No. 12 and stepped back to No. 15 after beating Fresno State in Week 1. Following the loss to Texas, Michigan fell just two spots to No. 17.
The FPI now estimates Michigan finishes with a record of 7.
