The Michigan Wolverines fell to 13-7 on the season on Friday afternoon after a 7-4 loss at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes (13-7) in the first of a three-game series in Ann Arbor. A costly error that led to three OSU runs in the seventh inning doomed Michigan in its pursuit of a series-opening victory.
Michigan’s scoring output on Friday came entirely from left fielder Tito Flores, who had three hits — including a two-run home run in the sixth inning — and all four RBIs on the day. Christian Molfetta, Benjamin Sems and Ted Burton also had multiple-hit days for Michigan.
