Michigan dons blue collars, writes on the walls, finds a way to push back vs. Illinois

ANN ARBOR -- Zak Irvin wanted to wear blue jerseys and Billy Donlon resorted to writing things on the wall.

After getting drubbed at Illinois 10 days ago, Michigan was in need of a change. Something different. Anything.

On Saturday, the Wolverines believed they found it. At least for one day.

"I don't think we were the white collar team today," Michigan forward D.J. Wilson said.

Michigan players tried to brush off Maverick Morgan's "white collar team" statement from earlier this month, but after a 66-57 win over the Illini on Saturday, they admitted that the comment struck a nerve.
