Ann Arbor — The rain and wind are usually the great equalizer. For Michigan, they were the great energizer.
In the last meeting between Michigan and Notre Dame until 2033, the 19th-ranked Wolverines had their best performance of the season, despite the rainy, windy conditions Saturday night at Michigan Stadium. Michigan entered the game 1-10 against top-10 teams under coach Jim Harbaugh but walloped No. 8 Notre Dame, 45-14.
Michigan improves to 6-2, while Notre Dame is 5-2.
The Wolverines said they found their offensive rhythm in the second half at Penn State last week during a comeback that came up just short.
