Michigan is on a bye week but lost a player without a game taking place.
Sophomore defensive back Nate Johnson has been suspended from all team activities, the university announced Saturday afternoon in a one-sentence email that didn't provide any further details.
Johnson, a former three-star wide receiver from Independence High School in Thompson's Station, Tenn., was a member of Michigan's 2016 signing class. He played in three games last year and had one reception for four yards before moving to cornerback before this season and has yet to appear in a game in 2017.
