The Wolverines scored three goals in the second and three in the third to cruise by the Gophers at Yost.
Sometimes every puck that touches your stick turns to gold.
For the Wolverines, it was one of those nights.
It took Tyler Motte sixteen seconds from the opening puck drop to score his first of two goals on the night and Hudson Fasching answered 15 seconds after that. The Gophers would have the answer for both of Michigan's goals early on to tie the game, they just couldn't keep the Wolverines from answering back.
The teams would cross the midway point of the second period tied 2-2 after Tyler Sheehy scored on the power play and that was the closest the Gophers would get for the rest of the game.
