Michigan cornerback spots wide open, Don Brown declares

ANN ARBOR -- Perhaps no position on this Michigan football team has more uncertainty surrounding it in 2017 than cornerback.

Jourdan Lewis and Channing Stribling are both gone after declaring for the NFL Draft, leaving the Wolverines an unproven bunch.

And just as you might expect, that means the race is wide open.

"Every position has battles going on, but I think the corner thing is paramount in our thinking," said Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown.

Brown, speaking to reporters Thursday, said as many as seven players could compete for the two starting corner spots come Sept.
