The Michigan Wolverines have seen another one of their projected starters declare for the 2021 NFL Draft, this time in the form of senior cornerback Ambry Thomas. He made his status official on Thursday evening via Twitter.
Thomas said in his statement that the decision was “difficult” but that the season being postponed has pushed him to make the decision. He was considered a 2020 NFL Draft prospect, but decided to return for one last season in Ann Arbor as the team’s undisputed No. 1 cornerback.
Thomas had a breakout season in 2019 after an offseason battle with colitis that had his status in doubt.
