Two practices into the spring, Jim Harbaugh already can see the Michigan players fighting for open positions.
“We have hungry young guys,” he said on the “Rich Eisen Show,” which was guest-hosted by former U-M kicker Jay Feely. “They’ve been sitting behind a guy, waiting to get their chance to start. The competition and heated waters are really there. Two practices, the University of Michigan spring practices, guys are fighting for starting jobs.”
There are many jobs open on both sides of the ball with only one returning starter on defense and four on offense.
