The Michigan Wolverines have a big hole on the staff to fill heading into the second week of May, as multiple media reports confirmed the news that Maurice Linguist will become the new head coach at Buffalo. Football Scoop was the first to report it earlier Friday before other outlets shared the news later in the day.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh made Linguist, 37, one of the critical hires on the defensive coaching staff, hiring him from the Dallas Cowboys to co-coordinate the defense with Mike Macdonald and coach the defensive backs. His stint with Michigan now ends after five short months on the job.
