The more Michigan wins, the higher its ceiling becomes when it comes to post-season bowl time.
And the latest round of projections have the Wolverines reaching the pinnacle of college football.
No. 5 Michigan is now projected to reach the four-team College Football Playoff, by both prognosticators at ESPN and CBS Sports, after its 21-7 win at No. 24 Michigan State on Saturday.
The first set of CFP rankings are due out on Oct. 30.
Over at ESPN, both writers, Kyle Bonagura and Mitch Sherman, list the Wolverines as playing in the Cotton Bowl this December, one of two CFP semifinal round games.
