Michigan basketball's season was already on the brink.

And it just teetered even closer to the edge.

The Wolverines announced Monday that senior point guard Zavier Simpson has been suspended for a violation of team policies. He will miss Tuesday's game at Nebraska (7 p.m., ESPNU). He could miss more.

At this point of the season, that could prove to be an abject disaster.

Michigan is currently mired in a four-game losing streak, the longest since 2015 – the last time the Wolverines missed the NCAA tournament.
