ANAHEIM, Calif. — The agony could've filled an entire stadium.
Minutes after Michigan basketball saw its season end, the team assembled in a locker room deep within the Honda Center.
As reporters filed in, a sob rang out near the front of the room. Jordan Poole, towel over his head, consoled a devastated Charles Matthews.
But Matthews was almost inconsolable. He turned down a shot at the NBA last summer in part because he wanted one more shot at a title.
