Moe Wagner hit a jumper one minute into last weekend's Big Ten tournament semifinal against Minnesota. He then took a pass for a lay-up and popped out for a three — and then another one.
The 6-foot-11½ sophomore forward already had 10 points less than four minutes into the game against the Golden Gophers, one of the obstacles in Michigan's run to the Big Ten title. Wagner's tongue was wagging on this occasion, hanging from his mouth as he trotted back down the court.
That excitable personality is rare on this Michigan basketball team. Most of the players are more reserved.
