Michigan basketball's loss of five-star Isaiah Todd stings, but here's how it can be fixed

Picture this: Josh Christopher running a fast break and throwing up a lob to Isaiah Todd.

Michigan basketball hoped to see that on the court next season.

But in the span of 12 hours, those dreams were dashed.

Late Monday night, Christopher committed to play at Arizona State with his brother, Caleb. And just before noon Tuesday, Todd told Sports Illustrated he was forgoing his Michigan commitment to pursue a pro career.

Coach Juwan Howard cast his net into deep waters on the recruiting trail, targeting players the program had not gone after in quite some time.
