Jordan Poole's Michigan basketball career is officially over, as the program announced Tuesday that the sophomore guard plans to remain in the 2019 NBA draft.
Poole officially put his name into the draft and made plans to hire an agent earlier this month. He had until May 29, 10 days after the combine, to remove his name from the draft and sever ties with his agent to keep his eligibility.
He won't be doing either.
“I need to thank God for putting me in the position to walk along the right path. There has been much consideration, but after weighing all my options and having many positive discussions, my family and I, along with the help of coach (John) Beilein and the rest of the coaching staff, believe now is the right time for me to begin my professional basketball career," Poole said in a statement.
