Two seasons ago, John Beilein's Michigan club was up and down every night. Coming off a year derailed by injury and an early-season schedule that cost U-M both Caris LeVert and Spike Albrecht due to more health problems, the Wolverines' head coach poured his all into a team that qualified for the NCAA tournament by the skin of its teeth.
His team had dropped four of five to close the season and it if weren't for a buzzer-beating win in the Big Ten Tournament, Michigan would have watched college basketball's national showcase on television for the second straight year.
