Michigan basketball's David DeJulius's new approach to scoring: 'I'm going in aggressive'

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — David DeJulius is an emotive player.

He slaps the court on defense. He raises both arms and beckons his crowd to get louder.

On Sunday, it was his playful side showing during Michigan's 83-70 loss at Maryland.

With just under 10 minutes left in the first half, DeJulius found himself guarding Eric Ayala. Ayala, roughly five inches taller than DeJulius, tried to use his size advantage and back down DeJulius in the post. He banged up against DeJulius once. Then twice.

On the third attempt, Ayala's shoulder barreled into DeJulius' face, knocking him over.
