It has been a rough couple of days for Michigan basketball and its fans and Thursday, things got even worse as Jalen Wilson, the Wolverines top recruit from 2019 asked for his release.
Wilson previously signed with Michigan basketball as part of the 2019 recruiting class when John Beilein was the head coach. He was the gem of the group and gave UM a top-50 player for the second year in a row.
Soon after Beilein announced his decision to go to Cleveland, Wilson, who wasn’t informed of the move by Beilein, said he was shocked.
