Michigan continued a solid start in Big Ten play with a dazzling 79-56 performance over Penn State Saturday, bringing the team’s record up to 2-0 in the conference and 12-3 overall.
The Wolverines were certainly expected to defeat one of the conference’s middling teams, but victory seemed much less certain with the revelation that Caris LeVert would not be playing due to a lower leg injury, especially with the offense going against one of the nation’s best shot-blockers in Jordan Dickerson. In hindsight, nobody needed to worry about Michigan’s chances.
The team took the lead early and never gave the Nittany Lions a remote chance to come back.
