It was too close for comfort on Wednesday night as Michigan beat Minnesota, 74-69, to improve to 14-5 and 4-2 in the Big Ten.
The Wolverines were once again without Caris LeVert, who’s still trying to come back from an ailing ankle, and they were in need of every bit of production without him.
Zak Irvin finished the night with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Derrick Walton Jr. had 22 points and 6 rebounds. It’s largely been those two, along with Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, stepping up in LeVert’s absence.
Michigan was very fortunate to be playing Minnesota.
