Howard spoke to reporters for nearly 20 minutes at Crisler Center on the eve of his team’s debut in the Big Ten tournament, where he will return to the sidelines after completing a five-game suspension and paying a $40,000 fine. He detailed a two-week period in which he sought therapy, dedicated time to “soul searching” and generally came to grips with both the heinousness of his behavior and the number of people affected.
