Michigan basketball forward Charles Matthews missed his first game in two seasons Thursday with an ankle injury, and while the Wolverines are hopeful to get him back soon, coach John Beilein is unsure if Matthews will be available Sunday at Maryland.
Michigan diagnosed Matthews as day-to-day. He suffered the injury during the first half of Michigan's home loss against Michigan State on Sunday.
Matthews went to the locker room briefly against the Spartans before returning to play in the second half.
