WASHINGTON, D.C. -- After a Wednesday afternoon scare, the Michigan basketball team, band and cheerleaders were ready to take off again this morning for the Big Ten tournament in Washington, D.C.
Michigan, which had its Wednesday travel itinerary derailed by a mishap at Willow Run Airport, tweeted this morning a photo of players heading toward a Delta charter plane at Detroit Metro Airport.
Not long after that, cheerleading/spirit coach Pam St. John tweeted a photo of her team on the plane. U-M strength coach Jon Sanderson tweeted a photo with a diagram, showing where the team's original plane skidded Wednesday and how close it was to a ravine and trees.
