The Michigan Wolverines really could have used a win against the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday night. A win would have likely clinched a tournament spot for the Wolverines. For a while, Michigan looked like it might be able to accomplish that big win. The Wolverines even led at the half, even if it was just by a point.
Then the wheels started falling off in the second half. Michigan’s defense did a fine job in the first half at limiting the Badgers’ key players, particularly in the inside. In the second half, the defense was giving up open looks everywhere.
