With 21 seconds to play, Indiana guard OG Anunoby turned the ball over and gave Michigan basketball a chance to break the 69-69 tie and win its biggest game of the season.
Derrick Walton Jr. brought the ball up the court, and Indiana locked in on defense. On the court was Kameron Chatman, who’s averaged 2.8 points per game this season, because Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman fouled out.
Chatman sat in the corner as Walton made the defense fold just enough so he could deliver the ball to his 6-foot-8 champion, and Chatman, after hesitating slightly, faced up, fired away and drilled the game-winner as the buzzer sounded, giving Michigan a 72-69 win.
